Quick answers

Does it come with a battery?

The Power Package includes the Travel Battery XP. Motor Only has no battery, and Battery Only is there if you want a spare.

Short or long shaft?

Short (62.5 cm) for a 15 inch transom, long (75 cm) for a 20 inch transom. Tell us your boat and we'll confirm.

How far will it go?

Torqeedo measured about 20 km at 6.5 km/h, or 7.8 km flat out at 10 km/h, on a 3.8 m inflatable at 22°C. Wind, load and cold all cut that down.

Do I need a licence?

No Pleasure Craft Licence is needed for this motor on its own. That starts at 10 hp (7.5 kW) of total power. Whoever drives still needs proof of competency, like a Pleasure Craft Operator Card. Transport Canada counts electric motors too.

What if it's not right for me?

Return it unused within 60 days of delivery under our Rider's Guarantee. Winter orders start May 1.
