Quick answers

Does it come with a battery?

Pick it above. The Essential Package comes with the 1080 Wh battery, the Range Package with the larger Travel Battery XP, and Motor Only has no battery.

Short or long shaft?

Short (62.5 cm) is for a 15 inch transom, long (75 cm) for a 20 inch transom. Tell us your boat and we'll confirm.

How far will it go?

With the 1080 Wh battery, Torqeedo measured about 22 km at 5.6 km/h, or 8.5 km flat out at 8.6 km/h, on a 3.8 m inflatable at 22°C. Wind, load and cold all cut that down.

Do I need a licence?

No Pleasure Craft Licence is needed for this motor on its own. That starts at 10 hp (7.5 kW) of total power. Whoever drives still needs proof of competency, like a Pleasure Craft Operator Card. Transport Canada counts electric motors too.

What if it's not right for me?

Return it unused within 60 days of delivery under our Rider's Guarantee. Winter orders start May 1.

    Travel S Extended

First outing to a remote lake with our new 3 hp Travel XP was awesome . Three fishing in an aluminum 12 ft. boat and ran all trip (approx. 5 hours) still had 35% of the extended battery left.

Pushed us along at a good clip. Excellent for trolling though, the silence, the start stop reverse.

Very pleased. The battery and motor at 25 lbs. Each make an easy pack.

Now that sounds like a pretty successful first trip! Five hours on a remote lake with three people in the boat and still coming home with 35% battery is great to hear. The quiet trolling is hard to beat too, especially when the fish are cooperating! 😊 Thanks for sharing the photo, that’s a beauty of a bass!

Travel S questions

Does it come with a battery?

Pick it above. The Essential Package includes the 1080 Wh Travel Battery. The Range Package includes the larger Travel Battery XP. Motor Only has no battery, for when you already own one.

How far will it go?

Torqeedo's test on a 3.8 m inflatable at 22°C, with the 1080 Wh battery: about 22 km at 5.6 km/h, 14.9 km at 7.6 km/h, and 8.5 km at full speed (8.6 km/h). The larger battery goes further. Cold water, wind and a full boat all cut range.

Short or long shaft?

Short (62.5 cm) is for a 15 inch transom, long (75 cm) for a 20 inch transom. Running it on a Rover Battle Boat or Battle Cat? Tell us which one and we'll confirm the shaft before you order.

Do I need a licence?

No Pleasure Craft Licence is needed for this motor on its own. That starts at 10 hp (7.5 kW) of total power. Whoever drives still needs proof of competency, like a Pleasure Craft Operator Card. Transport Canada counts electric motors too.

Can I charge it with solar?

Yes, with Torqeedo's solar charge cable (sold separately) and panels up to 200 Wp. A 12/24 V cable lets you charge from a boat battery.

Is the battery waterproof?

Torqeedo rates the Travel batteries IP67. Rinse the motor with fresh water after salt runs and store the battery inside for the winter.

Where does it ship from?

It ships direct from the Torqeedo distributor on its own tracking, so it may arrive separately from a boat in the same order. Shipping is free across Canada and we email your ship date and tracking.

What's the warranty?

Torqeedo covers the Travel S for 2 years of private use. We handle the claim with you, so you deal with people in Kelowna, not a call centre.

What if it's not right for me?

You have 60 days from delivery to return an unused motor under our Rider's Guarantee. Order before May 1, 2027 and your 60 days start May 1. Once it's been in the water, the manufacturer warranty takes over.
