Refund policy
Returns & Refunds Policy
Canadian Board Co. (“the Company”) issues the following legally binding terms governing returns, exchanges, and refunds. By completing a purchase, the purchaser (“the Purchaser”) agrees to be bound by these terms in full. This policy supersedes all prior statements, representations, or agreements, unless expressly modified in writing by an authorized Company representative.
1. Guarantee Period
The Company’s Rider’s Guarantee is valid for sixty (60) consecutive calendar days from the date of original purchase (“Guarantee Period”), unless extended in writing by the Company before the Guarantee Period expires. After expiration, no refunds, exchanges, or credits will be issued for any reason, except where required by law.
2. Eligibility for Return
Returns will only be processed if all the following conditions are met:
-
Item is unused, in original condition, and returned in original packaging.
-
Proof of purchase (receipt or order confirmation) is provided.
-
Written return authorization is obtained from the Company before shipment.
-
The return is shipped to the address designated by the Company.
Unauthorized returns will be refused and not processed.
3. Non-Returnable & Non-Refundable Items
The following items are not eligible for return, refund, or exchange:
-
Perishable goods (including but not limited to food, flowers, newspapers, magazines)
-
Intimate or sanitary goods, health or personal care products
-
Hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases
-
Gift cards, downloadable software, or other digital goods
-
Clearance, blow-out, or final sale items, as well as promotional items marked “non-refundable”
4. Partial Refunds
Partial refunds may be issued at the Company’s sole discretion under the following circumstances:
-
Items not in original condition, damaged, or missing parts for reasons not attributable to the Company
-
Items returned beyond sixty (60) days from delivery, if accepted in exceptional cases
5. Shipping Insurance, Delivery, and Liability
-
Confirmed Delivery Without Insurance: In the event merchandise is confirmed as delivered and the Purchaser has not elected to obtain shipping insurance, the Company bears no obligation to dispatch a replacement product.
-
Duplicate Shipments: Refunds will not be issued for instances of duplicate shipment. If an item is confirmed as delivered by the carrier but not physically received by the Purchaser, the Company shall not be liable for replacement or refund unless shipping insurance was purchased.
-
Discretionary Replacement: If the Company elects, at its sole discretion, to provide a replacement under such circumstances, the Purchaser’s entitlement to the 60-day return policy shall be deemed irrevocably waived.
6. Refund Process
Upon receipt and inspection of the returned goods, the Purchaser will be notified in writing of approval or denial of the refund.
-
Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method within a commercially reasonable timeframe.
-
The Company is not responsible for delays caused by banks, credit card companies, or payment processors.
7. Late or Missing Refunds
If an approved refund is not received:
-
Reconfirm bank or credit card account records.
-
Contact the issuing bank or card provider.
-
If still unresolved, contact info@canadianboardco.com.
8. Sale & Clearance Items
Only regular-priced merchandise is eligible for refund. Clearance, blow-out, or final sale items are non-refundable and ineligible for exchange or store credit.
9. Exchanges
Exchanges are available only for defective or damaged items. The Purchaser must contact the Company at info@canadianboardco.com within the Guarantee Period to arrange an exchange.
10. Gifts
-
If the item was marked as a gift at purchase and shipped directly to the recipient, a gift credit equal to the return value will be issued once the return is processed.
-
If not marked as a gift, refunds will be issued to the original purchaser only.
11. Return Shipping
-
The Purchaser is responsible for all return shipping costs.
-
Shipping costs are non-refundable. If a refund is issued, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from the refund.
-
For items valued at over CAD $75, the Purchaser is strongly advised to use a trackable service and/or purchase shipping insurance. The Company assumes no liability for returns lost or damaged in transit.
12. Anti-Chargeback & Fraud Prevention
-
By completing a purchase, the Purchaser acknowledges and agrees that all transactions are final except as expressly permitted under this policy.
-
Any attempt to circumvent this policy through a credit card chargeback, bank dispute, or payment reversal without valid cause under this policy constitutes a breach of contract.
-
In such cases, the Company reserves the right to:
-
Provide the dispute resolution authority (bank, card issuer, payment processor) with full documentation demonstrating compliance with this policy, including proof of delivery and proof of agreement to the terms.
-
Recover from the Purchaser any costs, fees, or losses incurred in defending against the improper chargeback, including but not limited to legal fees, collection costs, and administrative expenses.
-
Suspend or terminate the Purchaser’s right to make future purchases from the Company.
-
-
The Purchaser expressly waives any right to pursue a chargeback outside the parameters of this policy, except where such waiver is prohibited by applicable law.
13. Governing Law
This policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the applicable laws of Canada. Any dispute arising under or relating to this policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in British Columbia, Canada.
