Every summer teaches us something. This one taught us a lot. From May long weekend through the last warm evenings of September, Canadian paddlers, cottagers, and families put our gear through its paces on lakes from the Okanagan to Ontario cottage country, and we paid close attention to what they told us.
This is our honest season recap: what sold, what customers asked about most, what worked, what did not, and what we are changing for next season. If you bought from us this summer, you will probably recognize yourself in here. If you are thinking about next summer already, this is the inside view.
POP paddleboards were among this summer's best sellers across Canadian lakes.
Our Best Sellers This Summer
Inflatable docks. Our inflatable dock collection, including the 8-foot Pop-Up Dock, the 14-foot AquaDock, and the 14-foot YachtDock, was the backbone of cottage orders. The pattern was consistent: one family buys a dock, their neighbours see it in action over a long weekend, and two more orders follow.
Paddleboards. The Yacht Hopper, El Capitan, and Ionic All Water boards from POP Board Co kept moving all summer. The 60-day riders guarantee kept doing its quiet work: buy a board, ride it, and get a refund if you do not love it. See the full terms on our 60-day riders guarantee page.
Electric outboards. The Torqeedo Travel S and the ePropulsion Spirit 1.0 Plus both found their audience. Pair one with a Rover Marine Battle Boat or Battle Cat and you have a silent, clean fishing setup. Browse our electric outboard motors collection.
The Questions You Asked Most
"What size dock do I need?" For a couple or small family, the 8-footer is plenty. For multi-family cottages, the 14-foot platforms are worth every extra dollar.
"How long do inflatable boards and docks actually last?" Years, with basic care. Our paddleboards back this up with a 3-year warranty.
Inflatable docks anchored the cottage social scene all summer long.
"Is electric really enough motor for my boat?" For lake cruising and fishing at relaxed speeds, yes. Silence is a feature.
"How fast is shipping?" Free Canada-wide on orders over $100 (see our free shipping policy).
What Worked This Summer
Keeping it Canadian. 100 percent Canadian owned and operated out of Kelowna, BC. No cross-border surprises, prices in CAD, support from people who know the water. Read more on our about page.
Safety culture. More customers asked about kids' PFD sizing than ever. We point everyone to Transport Canada's children's lifejacket guide and the Canadian Red Cross water safety tips.
What Did Not Work (Our Honest List)
Customer questions this summer centered on sizing, durability, and care.
Late-season stock crunches. A few popular configurations sold through faster than expected in July.
Content gaps. Customers asked for more how-to content: winterizing, maintenance, trip planning. That is changing right now, starting with our inflatable dock winter storage guide and our October water gear audit checklist.
What to Expect Next Season
- Earlier stock commitments on the configurations that sold through this summer.
- More group and cottage bundles, because the multi-family cottage is how a lot of Canadians do summer.
- A bigger content library, including our guide to planning a multi-family cottage trip.
- Continued fall deals. The end-of-season sale is the best pricing of the year.
Thank You
To everyone who ordered, called, emailed, or left a review: thank you. See you on the lake next year. Winter is long. The lake will be back.
