Paddling just got easier. This adjustable paddle sports a carbon & fiberglass blended shaft with a carbon blade. The short story - this paddle is super light, with a wide blade, and the strongest materials, so you can go further, faster.
** This 2-piece paddle does NOT collapse into an inflatable SUP bag. It can, however, be stored on the side straps of your Rip-Stop Wheeled iSUP bag from Canadian Board Co.
The Fine Details:
Weight: 21 oz. Have you ever lifted a 10 pound dumbell 400 times? We haven't either, that's why this paddles comes in at under two pounds. The endurance forward way.
Adj Height: 68" - 86" tall
Paddler Height: 4'5" - 6'5" This is a range assuming about a fist width over your head.
Blade Width: 8" at 85 square inches of blade. Why does this matter? The more blade you have in the water the more power it will take to get moving and stay moving without needing to exert excessive force to get started. It's our happy place.
Blade Angle: 10 degrees. This is the optimal angle for recreational paddling where the blade entering and exiting the water provides the least amount of drag.
Shaft Composition: Carbon and Fiberglass blend. This blend allows for the fiberglass flex of a recreational paddle, with the carbon fiber rigidity of a powerful professional. This blend allows you the speed of a rigid carbon paddle, without the shoulder transfer that could lead to joint fatigue and pain. Enjoy the flex.
Blade Composition: While the shaft needs to have some flex to save your joints, flex in the blade causes water to slip, and creates drag. For maximum rigidity, this blade is all carbon-fiber, baby!
Never Slip Flip Lock: The flip lock is the most easy form of adjusting your paddle height. Simply flip the lock out to disengage the lock. Adjust your paddle to the appropriate height, and flip it closed. We always recommend tightening the screws with the clasp closed to avoid from over tightening your paddle.
Never Twist V-Groove: Designed with the love of fixed paddles in mind, powerful paddlers can't risk a twist. It sounds so simple but if you haven't paddled with a Never Slip V Groove then you don't know what you are missing. It never twists...ever.
